In the heart of Montalbano, where the Tenuta Cantagallo estate extends for 500 a., between grapevines and olive yards, we have restored an old farmhouse respecting original Tuscan styles and building materials, but with modern standards for services and comfort. The farmhouse lies on the top of a hill, hence the name Tenuta Cantagallo, the place where the rooster first saw the dawn and sang to the new day.

From the yard in front of the farmhouse you can enjoy the breath-taking view of the old castles and towns of Capraia and Montelupo Fiorentino, renowned for the artistic ceramic production since the Middle Ages.

The surrounding landscape is characterized by the opposing of the mild sloping down of the cultivated hills and the wild bushes of the Montalbano woods, Tuscan protected area, which extends for miles (without any further building) beyond the farmhouse. The farmhouse secluded location is ideal for those who like relax, country tastes and the living with the colors and smells of nature, while the proximity with historical towns like Vinci, hometown of Leonardo (only 8 mi. far), or cities like Florence (15 mi.), Pistoia (22 mi.), Pisa (30 mi.), Siena (30 mi.) and Livorno (42 mi.) is ideal for those who prefer the historical, cultural and artistic aspects of Tuscan life and craftworks.
